Unhappy Trying to play audio through Kenwood bluetooth deck but getting audio dropouts

Hey all, hope this is the right forum. New user here!

I have a Kenwood KDC-BT838U bluetooth deck, and just bought the Samsung Nexus S cellphone which has an unlimited data plan. I was looking forward to using the phone's bluetooth to playback audio via the deck in my car, so I could search for anything, any time and listen to it in theory.

I paired the phone with the bluetooth deck, and got the sound playing back through the stereo which sounds great -- but the problem is that it keeps having constant audio drops during the songs playback.

The phone and deck never disconnect or disassociate from eachother and the pairing never breaks, so I can't figure out what the hell is going on.. In 1 minute of the song playing back, it probably has at least three 1 second drops of silence during playback which obviously ruins the entire experience.. It's driving me nuts, and I can't understand if the deck is at fault, or the phone, or if bluetooth just plain sucks donkey *****...

Anybody have any ideas or experience with something like this? I'd love to get this fixed because it would be so nice having the freedom of Youtube for music while driving at any time. Maybe I need to buy a different deck? This one has actually been quite problematic, with other things like failing to read my USB stick suddenly, or rebooting itself during seeking through a track.

Would love to hear back from any pro's or anybody with any ideas even!

Thanks in advance guys

Cheers

Try a hard reset on the phone.
I know other phones that require a hard reset after major updates to make even usb work.
Give it a try!

Any news DuckDown? Try a reset on the deck too. Phone will probably stay paired, but you can also delete pairing and re-pair it. It's a long shot, but it just might work. Worth a try anyway.
