Tuning a ported box.
I'm building a new ported box, what's the best freq to tune the box too?? I listen mostly too dance, trance and some rap.
The sub is a 10" OZ-Audio 250L going to be in a box roughly 1.5 cu.ft and in a Dakota Club Cab.
Thanks,
Anthony

I have a listing for a 250L from 1997, probably that one. I ran it through Bassbox, 1.5 cubes vented they suggest tuning it to 27hz, that seems low to me. Maybe try for 35hz, which would be a single 4" round vent, 15.2" long. Hope this helps, anyone else?
BBP6 recommendations :
1.3 ft^3 - 28.1 Hz
5 ft^3 - 18.9 Hz
7.1 ft^3 - 17.2 Hz
The 1.3 ft^3 - 28.1 Hz enclosure looks pretty decent ...
Like JeepBeats said, for 1.5 ft^3, it recommends 26.9 Hz ... To get that, you'd want a 3" port that is 15.5" long ...
I'd experiment with other non-recommended options, but I'm tired and lazy and heavily drugged because of surgery

Hey Guys,
I'm using WinISD beta to work out the vent size and all, but I think it's not right??
The box is going to be 1.5 ft^3 With the port tuned to 32Hz. The program gave me the port size of 3" by 10" long. Is this right??
Thanks,
Anthony
