Tweeters w/ different brand xovers?

Hey there...

I am sorry if this has been answered but I cannot find a yes/no or a straight up answer...

I have a set of focal mids + xovers that I was gifted - Access 130 A1 series components (minus tweeters)

I went to local car audio shop and bought a set of Rockford Fosgate FNQ3614 components - tweeter + crossovers (minus mids) for a killer deal

I was recommended by shop to use the Rockford xovers as the tweets might b different response and its more important then mids... but the crossovers barely fit in the door leaving the door skin not sitting flush.

Would it be a problem if I rran the tweets of the focal xover since its sooooo much smaller and arguably, better quality? I know tweeters are sensitive to proper freq but who knows....

Components are being powered by a Clarion APX4241 4-channel amplifier as seen here:
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2009/audio/amplifiers/APX4241/us-en-product-pf_1172408778518.html

Focal specs:
# 4-ohm impedance
# 6-50 watts RMS power range (100 watts peak)
# frequency response: 65-20,000 Hz
# sensitivity: 91 dB
http://signature.crutchfield.com/S-ISBxgdH148s/s_091130A1/Focal-Access-130-A1.html

Rockford specs:
# 4-ohm impedance
# frequency response 40-24,000 Hz
# 8-100 watts RMS power range (200 watts peak)
# sensitivity 91 dB
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mjHe3QGiRAs/p_575FNQ3614/Rockford-Fosgate-FNQ3614.html

the only thing i see majorly different is the freq response being higher on the rockfords....

what are your thoughts?

its not gonna hurt em using the focals, if it sounds good to your ears then let er rip. But from experience i wouldnt suggest putting them in the doors anyways, mine got all rusted and mess up from water damage. inner doors arent really water tight. Tuck em under ur dash somewhere and that way you could even use the RF if they do indeed sound better.

If you have a 4channel amp, why are you using passive crossovers?

I would change the rears to deck power and use the 4ch up front only.

If you want to use the passives, use the Rockford ones.

Why not just try them both? I replaced my CDT HD set with Focal A1's but found they sounded much better with the CDT 550 crossover. Speculating about which will sound better by the specs won't tell you for sure what it will sound like. Now, I have no idea what to ask for my old mids and tweets...
