As for what's messed - it appears that would be crossing over at the F3 point or darn close to it. Why bother even having it Now I'm talking for an everyday street system here - not a hardcore SQ car. Again - just offering an opinion that wasn't asked for
I would like to get feedback from d-50truck on this since I do not think it is an X-over issue. The sound he is kind of describing is a-musical and indicates something very wrong (bad xover adds emphasis where you don’t want it or just mechanically rolls off). It really sounds like something electrical or mechanical is the issue.
Have you tried running a single coil at a time?
Is the amp dicking up?
Is the box properly sealed?
Is there a car/woofer box resonance issue?
I suppose it could be a faulty woofer but I doubt it
