I will not buy anything from the US unless it is shipped USPS. Never charge brokerage fees.

True, USPS never charges brokerage fees and if you go on the government website there are very few items that still carry duty fees these days. Also, depending on how close you live to US border, you can ship to there and just pick it up. There are many parcel services that charge nominal fees to hold your item for you.

I love laughing at people when they come into my shop and tell me how much they can get stuff from the states. I laugh even harder when they come in to get the product installed and have to admit I was right and then pay more to get it installed because they didn't buy it from me. Then I absolutely kill myself laughing when the product fails and they attempt to get warranty from the online scammer they bought it from, even though I totally warned them that you pretty much have no warranty when you buy something from the states.

Moral of the story???? Support your dealers, they can do so much more for you than just sell you the product.

^That defenetly holds true espeically for the noobs or people who don't want to or know how to install stuff themselves.

I will say that I think it's great that your buisness is willing to install stuff anyway for those kinds of people.

I love laughing at some of the high prices that shops around here have and at some of the crappy gear they have. It's hard to find certain brands of gear near where I live so I have no choice but to order online. And some of the companies do still provide good customer service even though you are buying across borders. I am all for supporting our local dealers. Half of my gear was ordered through a dealer on here. And, I did install half of my gear myself and the rest will be installed when the weather is warmer. This saved me even more money.

It is for this reason that I never have anything shipped across the border....

As for products made in the USA, and for those who want to test the NAFTA agreement, I would highly suggest you request documentation from whoever you buy it from to complete a country of origin form and to ship it with the product - despite whether or not the box and/or the item itself has its "Made in USA" labels and stickers.

Ok fellas here's the rule: Anything manufactured in United States, Canada and Mexico and is being shipped from Canada, Mexico or United States to Canada Mexico or United States is not susceptible to duties according to the NAFTA. Ask the person that you're ordering it from to provide a NAFTA agreement or the customs code. Below is an example of a NAFTA code. Trust me when I tell you that this information is correct. I am a certified Customs Specialist from when I worked with Fedex Trade Networks.

Good Luck and Happy ordering.

Yeah, like charge me Saskatchewan PST when I lived in Alberta, take 6 months to replace a driver broken in shipping and not give me a reciept.

Pretty sketchy.
