under 1 ohm?

under 1 ohm?
well the setup i need a bigger amp for would be under 1 ohm, and I was very very interested in the elemental designs nine.1
1200 watts rms @ 1 ohm at 12 volts
and i've been reading a ton of reviews and it seems to definitly be not a bad amp for its price, plus i abousltly adore the asthetics
i've also read alot of people run it under 1 ohm daily and it handles it no problem, issue is it voids warrenty
so two parts, 1 being just advancing my knowledge (I am in no way even thinking about screwing a company with this, i just wanna know the answear) could they really tell if im below 1 ohm
and are there any amps, not that bad in quality (bout the same as ED) that are warrentable under 1 ohm with out breaking the bank
im wanting to be hitting about 1200 rms at 1 ohm
i know this is unneccesarly long for what im asking but hey, i like to type

So you want 1200RMS at 1 ohm... but are worried about warranty at a lower impedence? how low are you planning on going?
I sorta wondered about whether or not they could magically tell that you had run under an ohm to void the warranty too... I can't see how.

well its like this i have 2 type r's DVC 4 ohm, and i wanted to add a MTX DVC 4 ohm for extra oomph
so i was thinking bout desining a switch where, when I just wanted bass for rock and music stuff id just have the type r's going, and when i really wanted to shake up id have all 3 going
the type r's only on would run at 1 ohm, which is easy to do on most amps im looking at
but all 3 would be .67 ohms

Why would you want to go 1/2 ohm daily? It'll sound like crud... I hate the sound of my sub at one ohm, so I run at two ohms daily, just running 1 ohm for SPL comps.
So, why not get a bigger amp, that'll do 1200@2 or something similar...

well i already have the two type r's and they cant take 1200
i really wanted to make it 3 or 4 subs
the only way I could see is me selling my type r's and getting a higherend sub
moneys a lil tight round here for me anyways
