As per the rules:
"Vehicles that do not comply will be judged in the Advanced Expert class. USACI will require all of the following OEM equipment to be installed as installed from the factory and function as originally intended."
-Emergency brake
I apologize for the rant, I am frustrated with these silly rules. I mailed USACi to try and get some clarification on the subject as I am about to start my build. I hope I am wrong, I'm really looking forward to hitting some shows this summer.

You guys, why don't you email or phone me? You can move the e-brake, motorize it, mount it on the trunk. Just leave the brake where it is, make it non functional, then use an actuator to make it work. This was an official ruling from last year, one of the canadian cars last year maybe...did this to make room for pods.
Let me clarify things, I own USACi in Canada, I make all the ruling, and judgments. The rules are very simply...you guys are just thinking to hard...LOL
You only have to convince me to compete in Canada, for world finals, there is a commitee that makes the rulings, I'm on the comittee too.

Where does one get a copy of the 'exceptions to the rules'?
It would be unfortunate for one competitor to limit themselves while another freely does whatever because of inside knowledge.
To some it may seem like I am bitching but these are legitimate questions. The rules lay it out and now others say it isn't so. It is therefore confusing.
