USACi Rules

Don't be calling me a whiner Randy - I have legitimate questions and concerns with the rules.
By the same token I could flippantly say how much I hate rule benders and cheaters. Neither comment forwards the issue or works towards resolution.
I will readily agree that Dave's single wiper should clean his windshield more than adequately and a relocated or actuated parking brake should be fine. There is still a wiper and there is still a parking brake. They function properly, provide the same level of safety, but are altered from the factory supplied arrangement.
BUT, the rules don't say any of that. They state "...OEM equipment to be installed as installed from the factory..." or you're an Advanced Expert. It is very clear.

- Like I stated early too, call me discuss this, sometimes a forum like this isn't the most personal way over come this hick-ups...with Dave's car, he calls me at least once a day to confirm how to build his car.
*Have any of you read the interimediate "SQ" rules, after the Advanced rules in the same rulebook?

whoa put those guns down paul. i just looked at my posts and no where did i mention your name. there are 15 different people who have posted on this thread, and i have no idea why you think that you are the main person of my comments. sorry to dissapoint you. my veiw on this stems back to my early iasca days in 89 to 94, and now i see by "every ones" posts and comments that nothing has changed. even my comment was bitching. hows that for poetic justice! i realize that with any event that uses human judgement as opposed to absolute truth, there will always be opposition, and that is how are sport gets better in the long run. beleive me nothing was directed at your personally. i have no problem discussing an issue with any one face to face, so believe me if i was attacking you i wouldnt hide behind a keyboard. i consider you a formidable adversary with a coracopia of knowlege that can only better our industry and to this extent i offer you my appology for the misunderstanding, i was really venting at gas prices. lol.
LOL - can't we all just get along? I think that we have all learned some valuable lessions here:
1) that going by the letter of the law, so that it defeats the intent of the law brings said law into disrepute.
2) booze and Dave's shows go hand in hand (I must try Mountain Crest sometime).
3) beamrider scores much better at shows when the wonderful and talented Livia displays the car.
4) Dukk is far too intelligent and needs to learn the joys of Guinness.
5) gas prices are far too high.
6) I cannot wait to be able to just "go to" a show as a well hydrated spectator
