USB usage on DDX7019???

I am planning on buying either a DDX6019 or a DDX7019 but first I need to know what the USB port on the DDX7019 is used for. I was thinking that it was for an ipod but I think it has a different port for the ipod.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Thanks.

USB KENWOOD cd, dvd are killer decks. The USB port can be used for Ipod, most mp3 players, & USB Flash drives(or jump drives). When plugging any Ipod in, all controls can be done from the Kenwood unit. Most mp3 players can plug in and will play. Some mp3 players will be able to be controlled from the Kewood unit depending on the brand. The flash drives are the best because you can take music off (Windows Media) that you have downloaded, or burned from cd. When you load your flash drive you can select the quality in windows media. The lower the quality, fits more music on the flash drive. Myself I like (Windows Media Lossless) because it gives you the best sound quality, but it takes up a lot of space on the flash drives. When using USB you don't have any skipping cd's(killer for the DB guys), and cd's all over in your ride getting destroyed. Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, Blaupunkt also have USB. Kenwood is the only one with USB on there DVD's.

Thanks for the response XS Steve.

I got one more question, can you use the USB port for any kind of video media?

Using it with a MP3 player doesn't have much use for me because I have a Kenwood music keg hookup in my system so I have all my music stored on that.

Thanks.

As of now, you can not use the flash drives for video yet, but that will be coming soon since 4 gig flash drives can easily hold movies.
