volt meters.

hi, I was wondering were I could get a volt meter. nothing to expensive(even though a digital meter would be sweet). I dont have one in my car...all I have is the "low battery" light. which doesnt help me at all. what would be a good brand to get?

thanks.

It depends completely on how much you are able to spend. At Canadian Tire you can get voltmeters for $10-20, but they aren't too accurate, tend to break easy, and don't have great displays. If you have the cash, go to www.fluke.com and get one of theirs; they are durable, easy to use, and have a ton of features, but they are few hundred dollars. Most electronics shops will have some mid-grade meters as well, but I have only used flukes and the Canadian Tire meters so I am not sure how good they are.

My 1 & 2 farad caps have really cool lighted voltmeters on them

but if you want a gauge, almost all automotive supply shops have a selection.

I got one from Princess Auto for cheap, but I drive a bucket and don't really care what kind of gauge I am using, LOL. Not sure if you have Princess Auto where you are, but Canadian Tire (as mentioned above) or most auto parts stores should have something for you that will work.
