Weird speaker problem

Hey, I have an old PG 180.2 powering 2 boston rally components and one of the speaker woofer doesnt make a sound (tweeter still works) and I seem to have noise/static into the sound coming from those that still work but it is intermittent. could it be that the wire is fallen off the one speaker woofer and the wire in my door makes the system sound bad? or is it a blown amp or speakers (both???) that would be weird.
Anyway let me know what you think, also do you think its worth paying more for alpine V12 MRD-M605 than the same power rating V-power class D amp MRP-M650?
its like 150$ more... for what?

Thanks!
F

speaker

in the case the speakers are dead, do you think focals polyglass components on a 75Wx2 RMS PG tantrum sound good? The focals are rated at 60W RMS.
Would that be a significant upgrade from Boston Acoustic Rally components or should I try finding some other bostons?
