What amp??

Hey all, i would just like to know what amp would drive 2 MTX TT6512/04's. I already have one but want to add a second, the specs on the sub is 400watt RMS,and 800watt peak, at 4ohms. I havent been able to find an amp capable of 800watts RMS at 4ohms, any responses appreciatted!

Your subs wired in parallel will equal 2 ohms, total of 800w rms, 400 each. I have a Soundstream amp in stock that would be perfect for this application. More info, drop me a pm or e-mail to forbidden at telus dot net.

Yeah, i knew that, but i started over thinking it and got myself confused. Thanks for the clarification! Now, which one to choose, i will either go with the MTX JH1200 or the Kenwood KAC-9105D(for half the price). Is the MTX worth the extra money?? It does have a cooling fan and it goes down to 20hz where as the Kenwood has two cooling fans but only goes to 50hz. I'm leaning toward the MTX, just for the simple fact that it seems like better quality, am i right?? or will i just spend extra money to get 30hz?

What kind of budget do you have for an amplifier?

300-450. Not a whole lot.
Also on my list were Alpine MRP-M1000 and Kicker ZX1000. Opinions?

I will find you a great amp in that price range. I might be able to get close to the $450.00 mark on the Soundstream including gst and shipping.

That sounds good, but i can get an Alpine MRP-M1000 for under $300, so i might just go with that. I am not familiar with Soundstream, what features make the soundstream better?

From a Canadian authorized dealer? That would make it below cost.
