Here's the deal. Right now my stereos pretty loud, but cmon everyone wishes they could get louder. Im gonna tell u guys what im runnin and i want to know what u guys think i should do to get louder with the amp and subs I already have.

2 10" MTX Thunder 6000's
1 Bazooka EL1500 mono block amp pushing 250 Watts to each sub
4 guage power wire runnin to a distro block then 8 guage to the amp and 8 guage ground
18 guage speaker wire
2.5^3 Vented Box tuned to 32hz
Factory Door speaker(will be installing my Kenwood db+'s in the near future)

SO WHAT CAN I DO?

Have you considered upgrading to the thunder 8000's? I have a single 12" Thunder 8000 in about a 1.25^3 enclosure with 400 RMS watts coming out of an orion cobalt. It's in my sister's Civic and it absolutely pounds.

I guess more power to a more able sub is my answer to your question.

I Am on a budget or about 100$ and not looking to upgrade my amp or my subs right now. There in a 96 hyundai Elantra. I was told my box should be tuned to about 41hz and to upgrade my speaker wire but what else. I want spl not sq so i dont care how it sounds along as its not too sloppy

The higher i tune my box, does that mean i have to make my box bigger as well? Or can I keep a 2.5cubed box tuned to 41hz?

Well heres the thing. I dont plan on going to every sound off around this year. But to the ones i go to i want to be able to compete ya know. Right now i'd guestimate that im hiting high 130's but to compete with two tens around here low to mid 140's is where most people are winning. So I want something that will be loud to the ear and hold its own in a DB drag.
