Whats easier/ cheaper to find?

If a sub is dual 1 ohm @ 1500 RMS, you can get an amp that is either .5 or 2 ohm stable at 1500 watts, Correct? Which would be better/ cheaper/ easier to find?

agreed, 2ohm amps are easier to find and probably cheaper as well.

I was thinking about the Power Acoustik CPT1-4000D. Any ideas? Rated at 1700 RMS at 2 ohm.

Im pretty sure this sub is actually designed to handle 2k RMS, so a bit bigger isnt a problem.

That's what I was going to suggest and mention box rise, but I didn't want to look like an idiot after both Bill and Wayne said otherwise. I had an amp rated for 2 ohms and I ran it at 1 ohm with no problems for nearly 4 years.

Just beware of some amps, I've heard of certain ones going into protection as soon as they see a load lower than what they're rated for.
