what i dont understand is when people boast about what they are selling saying stuff like "they only gave it 100 rms to it" on subs or speakers that handle 1000 rms. That doesn't show how mint they are in, in fact, thats Worse than someone giving it the proper wattage, because giving a speaker 1/10 of its power handling capabilities will make you turn the volume way up to get the same sound you want in the first place... that will bottom out your subs, create distortion and ruin your speakers/subs. Just saying, I would tell people it was given the proper wattage and was played with out distortion.

another thing that cheeses me off is when people sell something that was retailed say 1000 and used for a year, then they sell it for like 900. Regardless to what they bought it for, the minute you use something, its value decreases to 50-65%, not to mention the COST price is half of the retail anyways!

look at phoenix gold subs that retail (peel audio/video) 450 for each driver, while on ebay, it sells for 250 for each driver (ebay items are profitable, so let's assume its about 50 dollars less than what they sell it for)!

My beef is with people who complain over people's complaints. hahaha

I will forever have a beef with incorrect terminology in car audio. It really shows the user is a true n00b, hahaha. Things like "My amp PUSHES 300 watts to my sub,".

Um, blob, underpowering a sub will likely not bottom it out because the sub is not receiving the power needed to move the sub sufficiently.

Likely what you're buying new on eBay is B stock stuff, and PG warranty is limited, if not nil on that type of stuff.

Edited for everyones sanity.

chadXton: I believe sounddomain.com is an authorized PG dealer, because they won't ship to canada due to an agreement with PG.

lets not forget that what you get on ebay may be refurbished, or in us currency depending on what ebay site your on. Also if someone buys a amp worth a thousand dollars, only uses it a few times, nothing denotes he/she automatically has to sell it for five hundred or less.

authorized internet retailers like thezeb.com, and sonicelectronix will provide you with a warranty. They also enforce the idea that their products are NOT refurbished. Why do you think that at BEST BUY CANADA, the cost price / staff pricing for their products are 50% off the retail price. I'm not saying all products are like this, but many are. Look at pioneer, it sells some decks for a grande, while you can get the same one factory fresh for about 500. Comes with a warranty card you fill out and post.

And if you use it a couple of times and try to sell it used, there is no proof that you havne't used it for more than 6 months (without a reciept... which can be faked anyways), or 2 days. It's either used good condition/bad condition... or sealed.. and u can charge allmost full price. Selling something open box, doesn't mean you HAVE to sell it for half price... but doesn't mean anyone will buy it for more than half price, since cost prices are so much cheaper than retail. And even so why not buy a refurbished deck for 500, instead of paying 900 for used 1000 dollar deck.
