Where to get wiring harness and mounting bracket?

Hey guys, I'm currently driving a 2009 Chevy Cobalt and I want to install an Alpine IDA-X100 single din head unit. I can't seem to find a proper mounting bracket and wiring harness for it. Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I can find these items?
I phoned East Hamilton Radio and the guy said that the mounting bracket and wiring harness would come out to $180. This sounds absolutely retarded to me as I'm pretty sure these things should cost me $50-75 max.

Any help is appreciated!

Bad news, you are dreaming, pinch yourself to wake up. These items are indeed this expensive and 100% necessary. The interface harness is where the real $ are. When I get to the store I will put together a quote for you but it is still going to add up in a hurry.

180 doesn't sound too bad. Thats a lot more than a harness. It needs an interface for door/key chimes, RAP and i think even the turn signal sounds might come thru the original radio.
The proper interface or harness will take care of that. If its got on-star the price goes up.

Those were parts listed for the 08, the 09 is not on the list, so you need to find out if the radio and the dash were the same for 08/09.
And, if you've got steering wheel controls, thats another interface.

Holy crap heh. I heard about the GMOS harness but I just wasn't sure if it was 100% necessary.
Just out of curiosity, what are my options for hooking up a sub and amp to the factory stereo? I don't really need a new head unit as the factory stereo has a usb jack already so that I can use my ipod.
And MR2NR, if you could compile a quote for me, I would really appreciate it

I have an HHR (cobalt wagon) and I decided to keep the factory head unit for now. I just wired the speaker outputs to the amp speaker level inputs. I dont care too much about the door chimes/onstar when the ignition is off.

That is actually a darn good price on the harness. It has a retail of $250.00, $180 is very aggressive on it. If you do not want to replace the headunit, then use a proper interface adaptor like the REQ5 or Audio Control LC6i to use to cenvert the signal from the factory head to a high voltage rca output for up to 3 amps, front / rear / subwoofer. It might be a little more to go that route but by the time you add the install kit, antenna adaptor etc, it will be the same or cheaper.
