Who can repair amps?

Hey, just wondering if any of you guys who can repair amps wants to take a shot at repairing my Alpine MRV-T757? E-mail me and let me know, maybe we can work something out, thanks.

I also need to get a friends amp repaired, im sure its something simple on the board but I dont wanna risk doing it myself. If anyone can do it or knows someone who can please let me know.

MB I'll mail you ASAP, I'm on my gf's computer right now. I had the amp bridged at 2ohm and it's only stable to 4. It puffed the magic smoke. The amp still powers p and everything but a few of the protection LED's are lit up. I opened it up and a few things look fried, I'm hoping they can just be replaced.

most likely can be. remove and replace the burnt out parts yourself. parts are cheap

nice, thanks seahag, I'll take some pics of the burnt parts because I dunno what they are or are called. Some of the capacitors leaked a white goo, what is that?

the white goo is stuff thats in the caps!

I have never seen that yet.

There are 3 sections in an amp.
Power supply
Output
Pre amp

99% of the time the transistors go bad in the output forcing high current to run through the PS
transistors.
So by identifying the sections of the amp and testing for shorts in the trasistor, its a remove and replace sort of thing.
