Who has better subs?

What kind of music do you listen to?
For SQ, you'll be looking for a sub with a fast response time and a high sensitivity factor, not a sub that's all about power capability.

lol. i wasn't expecting so many responses, but thanks. Okay, so from what i heard about the tf1's the power range is somewhere in the 1500Wrms range. About the spl numbers and sound quality, guys and girls, I am looking for something that sounds good. From what I've seen on the TF1's the numbers they put up are impressive, but for the SQ I have no clue. I saw some kid with a TF1 strapped with a Hifonics amp on youtube and it didn't look like it sounded too great (no offence). The mach5's have no vents on the magnets (doesn't look to great in my own opinion if I were to put it in a sealed enclosure), the SPL series is the one I am talking about.
I am looking to build two enclosures (one sealed and one ported). Size is not an issue as my trunk is pretty massive. Also, if I have an amp thats putting somewhere in the 10Hz range to the 350Hz range, I want a sub that can let me hear the whole frequency band. I already had an OK SQ system and am really not into looking to get another one b/c it takes too much time to set-up and it's a little costly if I were to get another one.
The RE XXX is a pretty massive sub and doesn't look like it would be a good match for the amp, although it is a pretty nice sub. I was literally gearing towards Fi, but don't know wtf the options mean

I almost forgot, I listen to rap, hip-hop, reggae, dancehall, soca, trance, dance. LOL. The list goes on my friends. I am west-indian so you would have to expect a lot of everything going through these subs, hence the reason for 2 enclosures

you want a sub that can let you hear the WHOLE frequency band? from 10 to 350hz? you'd probably need something way more expensive than Fi or RD. Those subs are not really SQ per say, neither is TF really. None of the mentioned brands in this thread are SQ. If you want true SQ you need Focal subs or something, which costs a set of kidneys.
All of the subs mentioned here wont be very good at reproducing anything past 120 hz. Past that point you normally need some sort of a mid bass set up. If you have a regular sub doing 350hz I'd say your xover is set wrong, way wrong.
If by SQ you mean you a nice and clear THUMP then really any of those subs will do. RD, Fi, TF1 and even the DD. But, in the case of THUMP it is mostly up to your box and how well it works with a given sub. Sub's do not really matter that much.
Tell us what your budget is and how much power you have at your disposal.

thanks for the clear up Yuri. I honestly never built myself a ported box, but have heard quite a few.
In all honesty what kind of sub would be the best bang for your buck? I heard a lot about TF1's, but what about Atomic ELE12's or RD Alpha V.2's? What kind of power handling could I get from the Atomics?
Oh yeah, my price range. I'm looking for anything under $500, but a little over won't hurt.
