It does not take into account.... port, subwoofer, or bracing displacement.

You can go much higher than 18 m/s for open-cabin vehicles and 21 m/s for trunked vehicles without port noise ...

You should also take into account the type of music you listen to. If you listen to mostly rock, a peak velocity of 30 m/s @ 30 Hz isn't going to matter much if it's dropped down to 20 m/s @ 45 Hz ...

You should also take into account that, if you're using PVC, the longer the port is, the more port resonance you will get.

Also, less bends in the port means less resistance which equates to higher SPL and more accurate tuning.
