as the title states, i cant help but notice that all winter everyone was excited and getting builds done and talking smack about who will be the loudest or who will have the nicest install... everyone was hoping for lots of shows to justify the expense and show off there rides for bragging rights..... well now i have seen 7 shows and hardly anyone is showing up!!!!!!!! i dont get it... these shows are what we have asked for and when put on they are not well attended... granted some have lite advertisment but a couple of phone calls will get you the knowledge you seek.... i damn well know there are more that 5 sq pro cars in western canada... where the hell is everybody... for the guys putting the shows on, its just not worth it to watch 9 cars enter. dont forget people have to show up, on there days off to set up and run the shows and not get paid. and for what.... no one showing up and they know we are out there....thats a slap in the face to the event organizers as far as iam concered.... to luke, will, keith, who do the circuit, good job and thank you. but this is for the rest who talk smack but dont show up... ok so for everyone out there here is the message..... " SUNDAY AUGUST 8TH KAMLOOPS" is the next show... now make some calls find out who is holding it and please make plans to show off your ride and support this industry..... if no one comes out to these events, do you really think anyone will be holding them next yr... not likely.. if you need help call. dave oakley, or james chevrette. or randy st.cyr, or will leavers, or luke paddle or or or lots of names

it doesnt take a big system to do well at shows , im not sure if ppl are thinking they have to have a a really big system to come out to shows , anyone who comes out will be properlly classified in a class against otheres with the same amount of equipment as them, plus with all the giveaways your pretty much guerenteed to walk away with some stuff , hopfully everyone comes out to the next show weather their finishing a system or just need to be called out hopfully theres a huge turnout the rest of the summer !

 

I do what I can, but half this year I not had a system in as I am preppin for penticton Sadly your right though randy, lots smack talk and no action. If I was in BC still, I would be the same as will and the paddler, I would be at every show just as I was when we lived there... There just aint the hard cores no more, I think the west is getting soft

 

you are a diehard kev u make it to finals every year despite a huge drive , you attend all the shows in your area and attend the bc shows when u can , its just all the ppl who ask for shows and never show up theres facebook groups and a ton of ppl to ask to find out so there shouldnt be any excuses, were very lucky to have a company in western canada that puts on so many shows year after year and gives out so much swagg , and also we have 2 very knowlegeable judges in james chevrette and Don Hebig who put on a ton of shows all over western canada so we can attend a ton of shows , as far as sq goes keith and the guys at soundsgood are certified judges so theyve been helping out in the bc area also getting us more shows and bringing in more sq guys so hopfully all the competiors start coming out consistantly and push everyone to become louder and have better sounding cars

 

I think when it boils down to the bottom line of what is the reasoning behind "who, what ,where, when, and why" its simple, its easier for people to talk the talk then walk the walk and we all know there are a ton of keyboard warriors here on CCA. At the same token though there are people here in BC who are getting louder and louder and show it when they come out and let their vehicles do the talking. I for one haven't had the opportunity to compete yet due to equipment failure but have been at the last few show's helping James out with the events and showing support. With that said now I can't wait to get back in the db drag lanes, I have my woofer as of today now it is time to cut the bullshit .............. Kamloops Aug. 8 @ ACA .......... it will be go time !!!!!!!

 

Thanks alot for coming out and helping in the lanes , as hard as it must of been not to be able to letter rip , it was great that you came out and helped , helping that guy with his ground problom before the show to putting the mic in the cars that was great to seee look forword to seeing u at the rest of the shows and all the best , expect a big score out of the single sub/amp setup

 

god damn im glad im getting my car back thursday i will hopefully be at the next eastern show. yes i was talking about going to other events but the car got stuck in the shop for 5 weeks. ******. anyways its out this week and i just gotta make plans to show up for the next event if i am off and can make it. sure i have a small system but i rlly wanna see what it does.

i for one will admit i been saying i will be attending these car shows and never show up. but i am not lying when i say my car was in the shop for 5 weeks.
and i am hopefully gonna be at the next show.
