hey i need to get some speaker wire to run from my amp to my 2 subs (maybe 3ft for each or so)...ne ways i was wondering if one can use normal home audio speaker wire as i have a bunch of that lying around

if not does ne one know where i can just get the amount i need in ottawa?

sure can! what size is the wire lying around the house? what size is the amp?

 

Depending on how much power you are running it will be fine. Unless its decent home audio wire, you might be better off to go and buy some thicker speaker wire. (I think I'm running 12 gauge).

 

hmm the amp is 1200W powering 2 RF 12" P2's ... i checked the wire at my house but its pretty thin ... what gauge do you guys suggest going with?

Minimum 12 gauge is the most common.

 

12 gauge will work for that setup.
