wire from amp to subs

14 guage power coard would work just fine.... just cut some off an old bread toaster or lamp or whatever....

iight i'll try some basic audio shops first i guess

so just to confirm the speaker wire whether made for car or home doesnt really matter in its performance?

Shouldn't make a difference. As long as it is at least 12 gauge it should work.

if the system is setup for 1ohm we are looking at a maximum around 35 amps of current split between 2 subs.... I think for a 3' run you could probably get away with 14 awg and possibly 16awg if you have at least on run per sub (but that might be pushing it)

But by all means use 12awg! Automotive stores sometimes have wire on spools. I know can tire has at least 14awg this way, otherwise your local stereo shop may sell it by the foot...

alrite cool cool i'll check it out. unfortunately i was just lookin thru what i had at home and i seem to be missing some 2 gauge ring terminals to attach my power/ground to the amplifier. i checked out FS and BB last night but they only have 4 gauge and 8 gauge ... anybody kno of ne specific stores where i can find this stuff?
