wire gauge question

yes this is very important. i assume your going to be running the icon with the sundown 1000d? the maximum power output is at 1ohm 1000rms.
wiring subs is important and if your going to stick with 1 sub then wiring a dual 2ohm sub will give u a 1 ohm load. = max output

Just the one sub. Either the 10" or 12", and yes I plan on using the sundown 1000d amp for the icon sub. So the 2ohm dual voice coil is the way to go I suppose.

so what would be the difference between the 1 ohm and the 2 ohm version of the sub.

i just hear people putting anywhere from 500w-1000w to the sub. Why wouldn't they put the full amount to the sub?

sorry for all the questions but, what would be the main difference in going with the 10" versus the 12". I have a 2002 sentra, don't wanna overload the crap out of the car but want really good bass. I was thinking the 10" just because I know it would deliver fast and smooth fast for most of my rock/metal, etc...music. But the 12" would probably deliver just as good bass response and low end when listening to more rap/hiphop/dance stuff.
