Question Wiring kit help!

Hey guys,

Just an update, as to what I've purchased (all used by the way and costing less than $300 );

Alpine CDA-9885 Deck @ 18W RMS X 4
Alpine Type S 5.25's @ 30W RMS
Alpine Type S 6.5's @ 80W RMS
Alpine 4 channel amp MRP-F250 @ 40W x4 RMS (4ohms)/ 50W X 4 RMS (2ohms)

I already had, from my previous car,
Alpine mono-block amp MRP-M500 @ 300W RMS
Alpine Type R 12' Subwoofer

My questions are
1)I have no wiring for either amps, would I need 2 seperate wiring kits? or would one such as this at best buy be sufficient?
Iconnects 400 Watts Amplifier Kit (i8400K) - Best Buy Canada

2)How good are these 'iConnects' wires, I'm getting them around 50% off from my buddy who works at best buy...

3)Both AMP's suggest that I use 8 Guage wiring. A buddy of mine mentioned that I should get 4 gauge either way... Is there any difference for my purpose?

Thanks guys!

Spend the extra $10 and get this one instead.....I can't tell from the picture if there is one included with the kit but you will need a pair of distro blocks for the wires to each amp.

See if your buddy can help you out with the Big 3....a few feet of 4ga out of the big dusty box of wire scraps in the shop, some wire loom and some terminal rings will help your system a lot.....

You want 1 run of 4 awg from the battery(fuse at battery) to a 1 in 2 out distro block in the back near the amps, send 1 wire out to each amp from there. That distro block doesent need to be fused. up to you. That covers the power feed, grounds are easy enuf, just 1-2 feet from amp bolted to bare metal of body/frame. Then you need your rcas and remote lead (amp turn on) both from the rear of the head unit, the remote you can use the 1 for both amps, just daisychain them.
Depending on what u want to do with fade control that will determin how many rca runs u will need.
If ur deck has a sub output and u want to utilze it you will need at least 2 runs, if you also want fade control from the deck you will need 3 runs, fr/bck/sub. Now look at the kit and see what it includes, and depending on amount of rca's ur gonna use u may have to pick up an extra set or 2. I also doubt the kit will come with a distro block.

gl with ur install bro.
