So im looking to get a new amp to power perhaps 2 kicker comp VR's in a box. look on XS cargo and the have these freaken massive subs for cheap and BIG amps for cheap. AMP at x-cess cargo is 279 and onlien its liek 570 the clif designs 1600 watt amp. anyone know if stuff from X-S Cargo is any good like the amps and subs? i know they carry Visionik, Clif designs, Thump, MA audio and one more i forget. Just wondering if these are equivilant to to PYRAMID crap or if they were actual good stuff. think i might go check out surrey location today. Why is it all so cheap?

A bit of info there for you. If you type in "XS Cargo" up in the search function under General Discussion you will find a few topics on this. Welcome to the board, by the way.

This quesion has been answered a dozen times in the past month or so..

I'd stay away from thump.. the rest ranges from kick *** to OK...

The other brand is Ultralinear....Depending on the impedance of your drivers, there are a couple different amps they carry that should do the job for you...

All I can say is that I tried to ask a group of people over coffee once "is that 3000 watt amplifier worth buying?" and all I got was "Its the same as this and this and that"...Then was told if a deal fell through for one of them, they would have a MUCH better amp(thats my opinion)they could sell me for a comparable price.

So right now I'm wiating for word on weather I'm going to be doing a deal with him/her, and if not,I think I will risk it and pick up on of those XS Cargo deals...

If I do,I will keep ya posted, maybe even do a small test session and post it....

We'll see...

k I've seen this topic many times and sat back and kinda giggled ............... But my set up right now consist of a mmats juggernaut 15 with dual 1.8ohm coils and a ultra linear ul1500xs from XS Cargo my previous set up to this was the same sub but with a mmats d100hc that was stolen last year and i could not afford to spend that kinda cash on another mmats amp .......... I love their gear........... so i took a chance and bought the amp at XS- cargo it was a toss up between the 3000watt hc monster and a 1500watt class d I opted for the class D because the HC would not have run efficiently with my vehicles electrical system. its running at one ohm and all i gotta say is damn i wasn't expecting that for 313$ taxes in!!!!!!its in a different vehicle now so i can't honestly say which set up was louder but I realize i took a chance because you only get 30 days warranty from XS I usually get extended warranty on all my purchaces. its been like 2 months now and its still going strong. I've played testones and pushed it to the limit demoing for customers and no smoke .....knock on wood.

i must say that the stuff at XS isn't that bad. it's just old model stuff and it's cheap. that gear is an excellent way to have an everyday system, test system, or starter system that is really easy on the wallet. i got a few subs from there myself!
