Basiclly what it comes down to I think is not so much "is it good stuff?" but more of a case of "is it good stuff FOR THE DOLLAR?"...And thats what I've been asking for sometime and noone seems to want to some out with a simple yes or no answer...Is this a case that noone but the people who have tried them really know?or is it a deal where "because it comes from a less-than-brand-name store it is therefore crap".Its unfortunate that people think this way...some of the best deals I've ever got were from "bargin basements",as it were...and some of the worst peices of crap came off a show room floor
A person doesnt have to spend a small fortune to get decent quality...
ie:my DVD player...2 yrs ago paid $75 for it new...GoldStar brand....during my last move it fell in the moving truck, hit the floor hard...still to this day plays like brand new!
Just my 2 peso's..
people like audiobahn gear.... they also pay good money for the flashy bling stuff...
the gear at xs cargo is on the same level as audiobahn (especially the MA stuff) and its alot cheaper....
so if you have good experiences with audiobum you may have good experiences with the stuff at xs...
I was just there actually taking a look at some wiring, prices arent bad at all... too bad they didnt have any good Interconnects but if you on a budget.... and you looking for decent gear... i dont see why not... i mean i started out with bargain basement subs and amps for the same price they selling some gear at xs cargo for...

At the XS in Richmond a few months back they had Monster Cable 201XLN RCA's for cheap. They also have 8 awg full Monster wiring kits for about $25, and 4 AWG ones for a bit more than that. I picked up a line level converter for $9 also. Haven't been in for a while though, not sure what they have in there these days.

But my set up right now consist of a mmats juggernaut 15 with dual 1.8ohm coils and a ultra linear ul1500xs from XS Cargo my previous set up to this was the same sub but with a mmats d100hc that was stolen last year and i could not afford to spend that kinda cash on another mmats amp .......... I love their gear........... so i took a chance and bought the amp at XS- cargo it was a toss up between the 3000watt hc monster and a 1500watt class d I opted for the class D because the HC would not have run efficiently with my vehicles electrical system. its running at one ohm and all i gotta say is damn i wasn't expecting that for 313$ taxes in!!!!!!its in a different vehicle now so i can't honestly say which set up was louder but I realize i took a chance because you only get 30 days warranty from XS I usually get extended warranty on all my purchaces. its been like 2 months now and its still going strong. I've played testones and pushed it to the limit demoing for customers and no smoke .....knock on wood.

If this other deal doesnt happen, I'm pretty sure that I will be making an XS Cargo run for an amp...I'm impressed...
We both talked about the fact they only offer a 30 day exchange, but the way I see it, we SPLers normally give the goods a hard run right off the top, so if anything is going to happen,I'm sure it will go bad in the first month...
BTW...It was good to meet ya...uh..uh...Murry?LOL...Thanks for the demo and the chit chat..I'll try to stop by after work tommorow, but homework still awaits me....

I should have looked at the lisrt of products that XS was carrying, I was under the impression it was no-name stuff and Thump amps and the like.
I understand people don't have unlimited budgets when it comes to this hobby.. it just saddens me that they would buy something in a hurry rather than save for something really nice and end up with an awesome system instead of just an OK one that they wanted to upgrade and upgrade.
I have to agree on the DVD thing. I bought one for $49 at Walmart one Saturday night at 9:30 so I could watch a VCd a friend gave - my overpriced ($800) first-generation Panasonic player had no idea what do with it. That's ok, VCDs didn't exist 8 years ago when I bought it.

Someone could ask you why you opted for the WRX when you could have saved up for an M3 or Viper, but then you would come back with a logical answer and it would make sense
Ok...Now that the Amp question has been resolved(in my opinion)I'm going to be a trouble maker...
What do people think of the subs XS Cargo sells?
Case in point...
