I got a grey market xm radio and i have my subscription out of the states, i was wondering if i bought my little brother an xm from Future Shop for x-mas if I could sign him up as a second radio under my us account of if I would have to sign him up for a Canadian account?

I don't think it matters. My receiver has been both a US subscription & now a Canadian.
BTW, why would you pay US$ for a US subscription when the Canadian one is available now? What programming do you listen to that isn't on the Canadian program list?

Yeah but im gonna buy him 6 months of programming and then let him do his own thing after then, the reasons im going to add him to my us account is because it would be about $5/mth less to add him to my us account than it would be to sign up under a canadian account... its like $6us to add a second tuner to your account vs the $13 canadian subscription fee.
But another thing i was wondering was if the signal coverage is same...im pretty sure then are but i just wanna make sure because he livesin the mountains around jasper and it would suck if i got it for him and he couldnt get reception.

Same Satelite. same signal, the only difference is in the tunner with the activation code that will only allow US stations or Canadian Stations to play through depending on your subscription.
You can activate either US or Canada programing regardless where you bought the tuner. (visions or FS, it does NOT matter)
Example: if you want to have the US programing you contact XM USA and provide a US mailing address and you are good to go, the same thing applies to Canada's programing. You need to provide a valid mailing address.
If you have a subscription from the USA and you want to change it to the Canadian programing you do not need to change your current tuner, just cancel contact XM USA and cancel your subscription, then contact XM Canada to create a new subscription, all you need is a valid Canadian mailing address and the Radio ID which is on Channel Zero.
You should have no issues adding his tuner to your US account. I do not think you will be able to add the Canadian programing to your US account, but then again who would want to?
This should apply to Sirius as well
