Yes, this can REALLY happen......
This happened last nite in my brother's car. Subs are Power Bass XXL something and one Earthquake D3 to power them. This happened while driving and playing music. The sub was on fire for good 20 minutes.
Did not have any water so there was nothing we could do but just watch it burn and make a VIDEO!!! you can even see the flames going out of one of the ports.
after that we just left it at the side of the road in the bush until this afternoon.......
you can see the ports kinda melted
this is the GOOD sub, the one that was not on fire...

my guess is something shorted out. the amp was fine after all this. i dont know if the other sub still works cuz it looks pretty fried from the fire comming out of the burning sub.

ok man. search that plate in the video and tell me where i live. if you do i'll wire you $50.
this myth of people searching up plates and then commin to your house to steal your car is as stupid as the old theory that the earth is flat. if someone wants your car they will get your car, plates or not.
alot easier to just follow someone a few times to see where they park/live and at what time would be ideal to do the theft than trying to figure out where they live by their plate number. dont be so paranoid. if I want your car, you can drive around with out plates, i will still get your car.
