I phoned Number 1 Sound today. They will charge $150 carpeted. </font>
I know it would be far but I would be able to get it and meet up with you somewhere in Toronto. I will see how much they would charge, most likely less than $150 carpeted or vinyled.

you have a very beefy, very heavy 8" sub in a very heavy box with all those partitions.
when you were choosing subs you stated that you wanted a lightweight solution for your subbass
wouldn't a single 12" stamped basket sub (IDQ or the like) in a sealed enclosure be lighter and sound better? even a simple vented box for the 12" would be good, hell even a vented 10"
bah, anyways, I just don't see why you chose such a beefy sub and going with a complex box like that fits your lightweight solution.

1)That's what I want, so I bought it.
2)I dont like the sound of sealed enclosures.
3)It's one of the better subs out there
4)It's cheap,compared to a 12" sub
5)I got a good deal on the sub (on sale right now)

okay I know I've said this before ......
I used 0.7 cubes ported and I used a 2" pnp areoport
port length is down to 12 inches and I have no port noise feeding them 350 watts rms each
if you keep the box volume at .5 cubes port lenght with a 2" port should be about 17 inches
make sure you use an areoport (flared port)at 2inches or you will have port noise

dodge - have you compared the sound to that of the eD spec ported enclosure? You might be surprised .
Rob - I dont know why you said before that you wanted a lightweight setup. Dynamatting your doors is gonna add a couple pounds, the amps will add a few pounds aswell. I dont think weight should be an issue, if you plan on autocrossing or solo 2 for the car then you just take the box out, not a big deal.
Anyways good luck with everything, hope the install goes smoothly.

My son and I built a ported box with 3 baffles in it. It wasn't really that hard to do, just take your time, measure twice and cut once. He now has plans for a bigger (6.5 cu. ft.) box.
I'm torn between ported and sealed for my e10A.22 (did I get it right this time Johnny?) I might had enough MDF around here to build both and then decide.
