89 Shadow Es, I think it was Earthquake woofers, pyramid amp, not sure about the deck.. then killed the car after hitting a rock pile, got a 90 Crx Si, has sony deck then upgrade to Pioneer with 2 10" Tornado subs with kenwood amp.
my first system was in my bro's 1993 storm gsi. it had a panasonic cq 181u(i think), concept 6 1/2's in the doors, phoenix gold 4's in the rear, a rockford punch 100a.2 (p.o.s.) and a pioneer nickelplate 10" sub in a custom enclosure. Sounded not too shabby for a low budget system. Funny thing with that install is that it was stolen the exact same day that the alarm brain went out for service......fishy......
Mine was pretty getto at the start I lost my rear speakers so I replaced them with a set of home speakers. then the deck went and I upgraded everying and got my planet audio sub and soundstream 4 channel amp. oh it was in an 89 mazda 626.
i had 2 12 impp running off of a kenwood 600w amp with a cheap old sony deck with some new pioneer speakers it was good for the starter system but doesnt it look kind of funny when you all look back and see where you came from stereo wise.
Clarion Headunit w/ CD Changer

1 JBL GT104D Sub in a Ported Enclosure (Designed and Built by myself)
Stock VW Speakers filtered by a Capacitor (150HZ 6db/OCT)
Still have the sub and the amp today (in the basement).

pfft...
'72 Chevy Vega trunk model
Pioneer 6x9's in the rear deck
Craig AM/FM Cassette installed in the ABC Warehouse parking lot in Detroit so as to not pay duty on the way back across the border.
This was in 1978; I don't think they had amps or subs for cars back then that I remember.
Use to camp and open the trunk up and blast the tunes.
It was great!

Mine would be:
Sony MD deck
10 CD changer
6.5" midbass
5.25" mid
.75" tweet
4 10" subs in a big ported box
4 channel amp on the front
2 2 channel amps for the subs
....in a '98 Accent. Best thing was, everything was free (even the car)!!! It was a "kiss-a-thon" contest. There were 23 other people (if I remember correctly) that I had to beat out. 24 hours later, I was the only one still standing.
Everything was Sony because they were sponsoring the contest, but it was before the X-plode stuff and it was pretty decent. They told me they metered it at 147.5 db. This just got me hooked on this very expensive "addiction". I've since changed things to go for SQ.
I'll see if I can find some pics of the contest/car.
