Zapco vs Memphis vs Rockford, oppinions?
Well, I was looking around for an amp for a buddy at work when I checked out Zapco's site and noticed they had a reference 1100 amp! When the heck did that come out? Christ I'm falling behind in the times
Anyways, I've always loved Zapco, but I had pretty much given up on running Zapco's in my new setup cause the reference series never had an amp that could do a fair bit of power at 2ohms mono, and the competition line simply costs too much for my liking.
Soooo... I've been looking at getting either a Rockford BD1500 or a Memphis ST1500D and now possibly a Zapco Reference 1100. I'm running a set of Concept PT12's with dual 2ohm coils wired for a 2ohm mono load.
So yeah, oppinions? Pros/cons for each type of amp? I believe the best amp out of the bunch will be the Zapco, but it also comes with probably the biggest price tag and being a A/B amp will be ALOT bigger then the D class amps which could end up being a pain in the ***...

I am a huge fan of all these companies, and have owned and/or ran all of them over the past few years.
I would have to give my vote for Rockford. I am not enamoured with their new styling on their amps, but you'll be able to pick up the last year's models at great prices over the next few months, as the new stuff comes out.
The brand is very common, but that has its advantages, as you'll be able to get it repaired/replaced with little trouble, while getting a Zapco fixed, as Rob can attest, is a pain in the ****.
But overall, you can't really go wrong with any of the amps mentioned. Just see what you can find for the best deals, I would say.
