two amp options being considered.

Zapco AG360
Xtant 4180c

zapco specs:

Stereo, 4 ohms: 4x50 Watts
Stereo, 2 ohms: 4x90 Watts
Bridged, 4 ohms: 2x180 Watts
T.H.D. + Noise: <0.032% @ 4 ohms
S/N Ratio: >95dB
Slew Rate: >23V/uS
Damping Factor: >160@ 4 ohms

Xtant specs:
Stereo, 4 ohms: 4x45 Watts
Stereo, 2 ohms: 4x90 Watts
Bridged, 4 ohms: 2x180 Watts
T.H.D. + Noise: <0.04% @ 4 ohms
s/n ratio >100db
Damping Factor: >200@100hz @ 4 ohms

--------------------

running boston pro 5.5's up front and a pair of ARC 10's.

that xtant piece feels like it is going to put out 3 times that power for some reason.

Price ??!?!

New or used? ........... thus reflecting the condition. If used, a better amp that has been run real hard and hot may sound worse. Can you test them out and listen to them?

Both good pieces.

Either will work well but I would probably go with the Xtant. I believe that it allows you to utilize the plug in modules for additional signal processing.

I haven't got much experience with the Zapco stuf, but I own an Xtant 2140C which is from the same year as the 4180...I must say the features they come with is quite impressive especially for an "older" amp like that.
