which is better for a setup for SPL? 1 12" high end sub with like 750w RMS going to it or like 2 Alpine type R's getting 300w RMS each???

On paper the alpine's would be louder because they have more cone area.. but in the real world the box will determine which will be louder.. I am pretty confident you could achieve the same spl using either setups..

So if I build a big ported box tuned properly it will be the same SPL?? The i guess i should just go with the cheaper of the 2 setups right?? What do you think of the Pioneer Premier TS-W2000spl??? It's a good 750w RMS. It got good reviews too. Not as much surface area as the L& tho.....
