12" re xxx vs. 2 10" re sx or 2 10" hcca

im putting a car together for competition and the class i am going in you can have either 1 12 or 2 10's. the class is 160in sub surface area and to 10's is 157in and one 12 is 113in so i figure two good 10's would be louder. but would they compared to a really good 12?

Thumbs up

Well depending on the car you have 1 12" might work better than 2 tens vise a versa. in 2005 and 2006 season in my 1st gen Neon had tryed 1 12 and was louder with the 2 tens and I was useing 2 RE sx tens they hold up very well but found thier max power for burping they start to go at about 2500 rms cause at 3000 I was killing them. Also if your intrested have that set up the MMatts amps and the 2 Re sx subs still and they are for sale still also have a box for those subs was doing like 152 with that stuff in my car.
