151.4dB in a hyundai accent

Yeah ! Team Audio D'auto.com - Basstech - Audiofidelite strike again.

We did some testing with my teammate setup friday night for yesterday's competiton, as he finally put togheter everything. We managed 152.1dB on the SPL-190 sensor (AC RTA) on friday night, and scored 151.4 on the termlab at the AudioDrag competition in Ste-Julie, close to Montreal. By buddy is competing in SPL-2 class, wich is about the same as dBdrag Street B or IdbL stock-2

Two Soundstream Tarantula T-4 12" subwoofer, DVC 1ohm

one Earthquake PH-D3 amplifier, 3000w rms @0.25ohm

I designed the enclosures (They were built by AudioFidelité) and hand-built the custom flared ports. Even in the first test, without fine-tuned the port lenght, we were getting 146.4dB with 800w rms or so. I am very happy with the results; it is actually the highest SPL/watt around here in a "street" setup. My buddy took the 2nd row, as the first competitior (know as CrxSPL) beat him by 0.7dB, scoring 152.1 on the termlab, using two D3.

Last time i checked, street B didn't let you have a battery in the trunk.. you would now be in street C, or max depending on if u pass the wall test.

The score haven't been done with an electrical system that complies with db drag Street rules; we are allowed to rev our engine up to 2k rpm. Fyi, other than the yellow top batt in the trunk, the electrical system is stock, so 60A alternator and about 400A battery "that can fit in a glove box".

otherwise, AFAIK, everything is complient as far as amplifier, box and woofer goes. The box is behind the B-pillar, and below the windows line

Nice ports!

I'm thinking those boxes are a bit too big though... the whole setup infact. Just impeding air....

Just imho though...

thats a good score. wont be legal for any street class. the boxes are on the rear seats. they got to be in the trunk and seats got to fold up. but thats a sick number tho
