I guess that doesn't matter though, go ahead and change the rules, the competitors don't matter.
x2...

I posted mulitple posting showing my dslike to the possible "unlimited amp" rule....

That would more or less kill us guys who have worked so damn hard for one decent amp because we would be pitted against people with an endless bank account...

Its just not fair to the little guy....

My 2 pesos..

so pretty much with unlimited amps and the conductor rule for example in street a.. someone could run a crown (as they currently can).. or someone could run a colluses, or 2 strapped amps.. hrmmmmmmm.. i still don't see why people are complaining..

This could be interesting.. show us at the show next weekend.. i'd love to see 8 amps with only 4 speaker wires going to the subs (2 + and 2 -)..

as well with a single battery anyone is only going to be able to get so much out of the amps..

how bout this..

well let me see.. i will go and buy 2 db 3000's, strap them together, and then run it to 1-12inch woofer.
or run 4 in street B. who can afford this?

i think dbdrag is ALL a money game now

if the rules are gonna stay like this... i would question even staying with dbdrag... geez.. just fix up the rules, on some contraversies, and then *** off.. more and more people are just gonna drop out, from being sick of all the changes, and having to re-build/buynew equip everyear!!!!!!!

how about 1 crown for street a, or 2 for street b.. wait.. you already can..

i'm not saying i agree with the proposed rule changes.. but i do think a few people are over-reacting.. I remember a while back there was HUGE discussion on removing the amp limit in Street, most people were for it, now that it's been removed many people are complaining..

I highly doubt they will still remove the amp limit with all the people against it..

with the amp limit removed they got to take out the conductor rule, if the conductor rule is still in place with the amp limit removed nothing really changes, just the cost of competing.

</font>
its not going to make that much of a difference, Aaron, there will always be the guys out there with lots of money, they will always be able to buy better (and or more) gear than the people that don't have lots of cash flow, this game takes money to play, when has it ever been "affordable", on a national level for the average person? Do you think the Zapco 4kw was cheaper in 2002 when it was used at finals? unless you put a limit on how much an individual is allowed to spend on DbDrag for a season (which is impossible), it will always be this way, plus there is only so much power you can draw from an 800^3 battery, so i don't think you will see a whole lot more power in the street classes than there is, providing amplifiers dont get like 95% efficient, and batteries get a LOT better. Just the way it is

I agree that your not going to please everyone...There's noway!!

All I'm saying is there should be certain limitations set in place...amp limit being one...
I'm not sying put a limit on $$ or on wattage..just the number...I can remeber beating guys with monster amps with my little MTX RTX2200...It was because my setup was efficient...BUT...efficentcy is not the end all and be all...you take a crappy box,hit it with enough power, you ca make it louder than a good one...Basiclly I think that people should have to work for their numbers and points rather than going out and buying them....
