2006 S15L7 dual 4 ohm vs. KX1200.1
Well... I have good news/bad news/and questions
My 2006 S15L7's finally came in today from Orange County. (the good)
But instead of dual 2 ohms that I ordered, I got dual 4 ohms.
I talked to the people I bought them from, and they seem very willing to help remedy the situation. However, I dont feel like waiting for another set to be shipped again, and I dont really want to get stuck paying shipping 1 way, and customs again.
So instead of the original idea of running 2 KX1200.1's with a pair of S15L7's @ either 1 ohm each, or 2 ohm final with the amps strapped, Im now only able to get 600watts RMS to each sub instead of 1200 watts RMS (unless there is some way of getting the final impedence of 4-4ohm voice coils to 2ohm that I am unaware of)
I am wondering if the KX1200.1's running 600RMS @ 2ohms each will be enough to power the 15" L7's claiming 1000 RMS power handling to near full potential. Or possibly 1 KX1200.1 running at a 1ohm final impedence for the pair.
