Is it legal by dbdra rules and reg's to run an an 8 track tape,if even for a spectator display.
I have the equipment to record my bass tracks to 8 Track tape and would love to see what it does..
Just think about it...CLICK....BOOM!!...REEEEEP!!.......LOL
I have looked thru termpro.com and found no mention of it.
I would like to get one run at least on a mic to see what this Frankenstien creation of mine can really do...
Does any one know?

Yes you can.

· The program material being played must originate from a source unit that is specifically designed for installation and operation in a 12-Volt auto sound environment. This includes any playback device that is specifically designed for installation and operation in a 12-Volt auto sound environment.
· The program material may consist of music, test tones, or any other type of recorded audio signal.

Does DBdrag not make you use a sanctioned disc? Or can you just play anything you want? Pardon my ignorance, but I am just a sq guy goin out on a limb here.
Iasca requires you to use their disc for all comps. It can't be a copy or modified. I would have thought DBdrag would have been the same.

At this point, it shouldn't matter what source you are using, since the new TermPro meter monitors frequency as much as it does amplitude.
But, I am pretty sure they are going to want to see you load their disc in your CD player before you run at any major event.
If you aren't sure, call Wayne at 208-773-3371 and ask him.
