Adire Audio Brahma mark II Vs. RE XXX
SQ you tune it low around 30Hz, that way it will play all frequencies above its tuning frequency very well.
SPL usually the box is tuned for a higher frequency. For best results you tune your box to your cars resonant frequency. This depending on the vehicle is in the 45Hz-80Hz range. Your box will not play any frequency below the tuning frequency well. So sound quality for music will be poor.

There are subs OTHER than the 95 series that people can use y'know.
You make it sound like he has to get a DD or he will be screwed. That's just not the case.
There a lot of other subs that are used for the street class with a lot of success. Not to mention the fact that they would be a lot cheaper.

Get a 3512 instead about half the price and only 1 db quieter.
X </font>
Because they were available and they were a good price.
Had RE SX, Shockers, or any other round sub been available I would have probably picked them up instead of the DD's. (L7's bump you up in class for IASCA because of cone area)

2 10's for 1 grand would be a much better purchase for him rather than spending the whole shot on 1 12".
Liking a brand is one thing, but being blind to the fact that it is not the best choice for his application is not good.
(btw... why not suggest a pair of 3510's like I used to run?)
Don't think I'm tring to argue with you Jordy, but the reason I have never suggested running two subs is because he made it clear that he only wanted one 12".
I agree that two 10" subs would be louder. I saw Team FX2 last year running both, 2-10" and 1-12" DD9500, with the 1-12" only being something like 0.5db less.

With only a bd1000 i would not be looking at a subs like the RE MT or the DD 9512 as they need more power to get loud and as X said the 3512 is a good choice of subs for the power. IF you want to go with RE I would suggest a SX 12" I would suggest maybe even a SE 12" with that power. An L7 would like that power, There are many more that you could go with.
