Aeroports v.s. sloted
#2
Aeroports for both answers.
Easier to use because they're so easy to put in/take out and adjust the lenght. Just don't attach them with ABS glue until you've got the right length.
From what I've heard they are also louder.

The aeroport has less restrictive "openings" making so more air can flow. Most people don't realize that it is the combination of the air exiting the box and the air being sucked in that produce bass. The air vibrates at the tuning point producing sound. In extreme spl, these principals work differently. Because we use the back wave of the driver and the driver for SPL, aeroports can release more air flow. But this has to be calulated, not just "swapped" out. I preffer slotted portes of easy calulations and flexiblity and oh yeah, price. Aeroports to be used with design programs like Term Pro, to be utilized effectively. But there are always exceptions to every rule...cheers!

I see a lot of people wanting 6" ports.
But when I see people using them they only use 1 at a time.
It would seem to me that 2 x 4" is better than 1 x 6"
Am I wrong? Is there something I'm missing about the 6" port to make it superior to 2 4's?
