I need to know what a good amp is to run a kicker comp VR 12" sub would be. I want a mono block amp and am running a rockford fosgate A200.1 but had a problem with the sub and now am taking it back to the place I got it so a buddy can see what he can do about my problem.

What amp should I run for this sub to allow me to run it without having any sort of problems.

The CompVR has a powerhandling of 300wrms. I am assuming since your running only one that you most likely have 4ohm DVC and are running the impedance at 2 ohms.

If you like your fosgate equipment then the Rockford P3001 monoblock could be just the ticket.

It's a solidly built amplifier with birthcertificates boasting upper 300 to low 400wrms ratings @ 2ohms. The remote punchbass control is handy and the newer chrome look is kinda bling if your into it.

There are many amps that fit your situation. I have used that combo in the past personally and have put together the same package for other on many occasions with no adverse effects. It sounded sweet and still does.
