I was also considering the 2500d or HCCA D5000 since they appear to be quite renowned for running at a half ohm or under, but was wondering if one of them alone would provide enough juice for both woofers.

Great input though, very much appreciated everyone - I wasn't too sure what these sx beasts could take but it seems to sound like they crave quite a beating!

Im running an exile 2400.1. Great amp, wired to half an ohm, and its loving it. Maybe try one of those.

Not cheap though.

ok so im gonna assume your subs are dual 2 ohm.

get an earthquake D5 or D10 (same amp just strappable) for 2 ohm u will get all the power u need for daily and when u drop it down to 0.5 you will get a nice boost for your spl.

sx's can take alot of power for 3 second burps. i gave mine 3,000rms each for about 4 month no problems there but you cant be stupid about it. got to have a good box and let it all cool. i never broke a single sub and sold them after finals while they were still in a very nice condition.
