Anything else I can do to get louder ?
wow...9 pages and no real help except for box building......
ok, since I compete with you luke, and there is basically noone willing to help out a fellow competitor on here without hating on them or their gear, I'm going to help you out....I run a similar set-up, less battery power, and way cheaper subs, yet we are neck and neck on scores.....
these things are going to increase your score.
1) CHANGE YOUR DECK!!!!!.... that panasonic has next to nothing for voltage output on your rca's. You can buy a cheap used alpine deck with 4v outputs for around 50 bux......not to mention Alpine generally has a good track record for not skipping, which your deck is doing now @ 150 db. I am willing to bet that if you did this one thing alone you'd be in the 151 area, just because I have yet to see a clean burp all season. it takes around 2.5 secs of a consistant burp for the T/L to register properly.
2) add more 0 gauge wiring. the more runs, the more efficiant. you can get those amplifiers to actually produce more power. also when burping, disconnect your soundstage amp. You don't need it on, as powering it up, just takes power away from your sub amp
3) seal that box better.....and make a couple different designs of it....maybe subs facing forward, and port up???? you can utilize that port in a different box. Personally I think that that box is a little too wide for your car.....with the subs facing forward, you could make the box norrower, and it might increase your score.
4)go to the car-wash, soap up your car, turn on the a/c, and find out where your air leaks are.(you will see bubbles forming from the leaks) SEAL THEM!!!.... if they are in areas that are tough to seal, THAT is somewhat where your pushers need to be.
5)BRING A CHARGER WITH YOU!!!. you will maximize your voltage if your car is charging between runs. also bring a canopy tent with you to keep the heat off the equipment(cooler stuff works better) you can get one like mine from xs cargo for $70.
do these things and your score WILL go up. the biggest job is going to be boxes. In order to actually be loud, you will probably have to build and tune at least 5 or 6 boxes this season. if you don't chances are you will be anialated in penitcton at western canadian finals, because all the big boys will be there-----team custom guys, alberta guys, etc. the guys in your class that you have yet to compete with this year are will into the 150's already, and will be even louder by august. you will HAVE to be 152+ by then in order to gaurantee 1st in western canada.....the eastern guys will be 155+.....
