There arent many build houses for subs, and not many companies care to use proprietary parts when using them.

Fine by me, parts is parts.

Looking the same and being the same, even with amp boards, is not a safe item to bet on.

i disagree. not to be obstinate, but rather i would much rather have lets say dealer parts for my car as aposted to jober. this is the whole reason that eveyone is going over seas! not that it is better but rather cheeper. not to say that this piece of gear is crap or anything remotly like that but rather things could be a lot better. and yes i am aware that the price tage would be higher. but at least i would have a choice then. lol sorry bout the rant.

I understand what your saying but you picked the wrong post to have the rant on.

I was only replying in response to the fact that frames look alike. Frames arent all that look alike in many brands, or products (like amps, rcas, wire etc etc), because many companies used parts from the same build houses. In this case, and those, parts ARE parts, whether you disagree or not.

If you do not like companies using parts from the same build houses mail them, change policy, and i wont have to state the truth of the matter and have some obstinate fella ranting at me.

The company that produces the better products will always get MY money, but i dont care who made it, only HOW they made it. If it tests out to be among the best, at some time or another, it will be in my sig, or at least up for consideration if i find it cheap enough to bring home and play with.

Im a follower of excellence in particular "pieces", not necessarily of brands, tho i do prefer US's when i buy amps. Linear Power, and Lunar, being my second favorites. Parts werent made here....but they were assembled with our attention to detail, which is as much important to the overall performance of the items, as what is used. As you say....they cost more, but i dont care. In most cases, they will outlive me.

The sheer numbers of companies to choose from guarantees "choice". Companies exist that cater to elitist like us, but i dont think its feasible to expect them all to be so. Lovely if they did....but not likely, and that is an unfortunate, but a undeniable fact.

Not many share our feelings about products, care ALOT about price tho, are ignorant of whats what and/or just dont care, and thats why, companies like Sony exist. To fill that part of the market.

One thing. You buy cheap you get cheap, i know you know this, so i dont understand why you would expect a local company to even want to build a POS. Yet someone has to. Some ppl are cheap.
