I have check on AmpGuts website to view the board of both amps and it seem to be different. The PHD3 have the same board of the PHD5000 but not the same of PHD10000. Maybe the new board can be strapped but the older one not?

it actually doesnt say 2 strappable amps it says 2 externally bridged monoblock amps for street B, and it no longer defines a monoblock as being a linkable amp, that i can find neway.
