Better to go with 1 or 2 ohm amp?

Well I can always go duel 2 ohm and wire it down to 1 ohm. I was reading on caco about lower ohms. Something about 1-2 batteries can do a .5 ohm burp. Regular playing at 1 ohm and 16volts is like 0.7 ohms? I really don't understand it all. But running at .5 ohms probably won't be .5 ohms anyways that's what impedance rise is. Google it and you will understand Manethon

im going by what i was told by the man himself, and other people that ran the SD amps. THey produce the power and dont have to be dropped low to make it.
I know what impedance rise is. Its not a safe method to use to calculate.
Sd amps if im not mistaken have a higher voltage : amp output ratio , and when your wire them to low, they product a higher current to volt ratio and u cook em. So if you had the volt and amp spec of the limit then sure do what u need to do to match it up to that but i say
Dont drop below 1. might get away safely with .7

id say if you have not ordered the sub yet then go with 1 ohm version. Also remember many sub companies have "d2 coils" which actually read d1.4
go with one ohm version and slap d2 coils in there and you should be good if their d2.
Even better yet, just email him and he will tell you what to get

Go with the 1 ohm version for Spl and 2 ohm version if it's for bass race or daily beating. One ohm version will produce higher current for more motor strength and control, great for burps but creates more heat than the 2 ohm version.
