Better to go with 1 or 2 ohm amp?

Nvm figured it out. Just had to put the min down a bit to make sure the sensor was indeed working.

Dont worry Jesse I maybe new but I am gonna be getting help from a few people i nperson to help me set all this up. I wont underpower my amp or anything like that.

Dude get the dual 1 ohm subs, and the 2ohm amp.......Based on experience the majority of efficient "SPL" enclosures will have a rise of aprox 3x, therefore it will allow you to burp at 1.5ohm reactive impedance, which is no problem for a SD amp. Then you can wire your sub at 2ohms into the amp for daily use and be completely comfortable.

Just so we're clear here. Impedance rise decreases with more power. So low power, high rise. As power increases, rise lowers.

High efficiency boxes will have alot more rise than 3x

bottom line is he shouldnt be making the judgement based on that unless your a vet, and even still you gotta talk to the person ur buying the amp from.
