I wouldnt go as far as saying "no expense was spared in product". IMO the product in the car really isnt anything to write home about. However I do like the install.

Also is it really that difficult to win IASCA SPL shows when theres nobody else in your class?

What about be impressive would be to see a car/install like that without a wall still beat the street class SPL competitors where there are actually people to compete against.

Your car is clearly much more SQ oriented than SPL oriented. It would be similar to comparing it to something like Clays jimbo which is more SPL oriented than SQ oriented but still has the attention to detail. There are plenty of SPL vehicles that still sound good, they just dont compete in SQ.

Just stirring the pot a little

Any place we can see this vehicle where no expense was spared? links? specs? spl? I never got to the Kamloops show.

I have seen Jimbo and it was a good daily driver probably the best one for 2008.

As far as SQ, it is so subjective what sounds good to one person may not to the next.

disagree! A great sounding car will always be a great sounding car, so many folks spend good money to remove a bland but livable factory system and install something less good or down right bad.
Yes there are systems that polarize but a great system will always sound great

then by all means bring it

Right, so you're saying your car will sound fantastawsome to me, while I have a hearing impairment in some frequencies?

Hehe, my point is that everyone is different in their hearing range. A lot of people have hearing within normal limits, but I just think "good is good is good" is a bad umbrella statement. The human body's ability to hear is very different from person to person. Most people can't even hear 20 to 20k the same as each other. Most men statistically can't hear over 19k.

What's wrong with MTX? It's good reliable product. Or is it too mainstream to be 'really good', like that burp monster in your sig?

Also is it really that difficult to win IASCA SPL shows when theres nobody else in your class?
Not his fault. It takes dedication and desire to compete in that class and not a lot of people have both.

What about be impressive would be to see a car/install like that without a wall still beat the street class SPL competitors where there are actually people to compete against.
Why? Why do people immediately point and say "but but, HE'S got a WALL!! *snifff*" Hasn't it been shown that it doesn't matter if it has a wall or a conventional box? His car has a wall, deal.

Your car is clearly much more SQ oriented than SPL oriented.
Why, cuz it doesn't look and sound like ?

It would be similar to comparing it to something like Clays jimbo which is more SPL oriented than SQ oriented but still has the attention to detail. There are plenty of SPL vehicles that still sound good, they just dont compete in SQ.
And there's lots of SQ cars that go loud but don't compete SPL.
And there's lots of loud cars that don't even compete.
And there's lots of good sounding cars that don't even compete.

The point is that there are very few that compete, and do well, in both SPL and SQ. 15 years ago a real comp car had to do both. Those of us who remember those days think that's the right way to build a car. Step up if you think you can.

Just pissing in the pot..
