CD Skipping?

Just curious, but has anyone ever had the problem of a CD skipping because they had too much bass?

Question

i have to ask prolifik why hese sooo shure that low frequency cant make a cd skip. he seems to think this is impossible, i cant see why hese sooo stuborn on the subject. ....... the low frequency causese pressure and vibration inside the car and it can cause the dash to flex. even if its supported properly and even if the hu is bach straped and supported. the disk can also vibrate in the load tray. so please explain to me how bass cant make a cd skip and dont just say it wont with out backing it up .

heavy bass hits = voltage drop = cd skip.

vibration is a contributing factor, but it is not a critical one. at 153+ db's my cd hasnt skept yet and my 1 din deck just hangs in the 1.5 din opening simply fastened by a couple of screws to the side of the dash. never skips even when my dash does the wave, my visors snap out of place but the cd doesnt skip. reason for that is a strong electrical system, it allows your cd player work the way its supposed to.

there is a reason they put the voltage range in the manual within which the player will work best. you drop below it, even for a second, your cd will skip bad.

all the guys who say their bass makes their cd skip while they generate pressure of 135 db or less.........thats not your bass, you have a shitty electrical.
