Everyone is allowed to fix problems in there vehicle and allowed to compete, at every show not just world finals.

There were many competitors that were pushing the limit with there vehicles, and there equipment. There are many competitors that have modified subs, and modified amps, how do we know the extent of the modifications, the only reason i investigated further on this particular instance was because i was familiar with the vehicle.

I do not know the entire story behind how the amps become modified, so we allowed him to fix the problem and compete.

We try to prevent cheating by doing through pre inspection, and hopefully catch everything.

There was atleast 3 people with NON Comertial subs/modded. And Catus sounds was using the 2 volt cells in the rockfords.. We were actually giving him tools so he could get the amps out and new ones in. Sould of been booted, imo.

But wayne always says that there is not DQ's at finals. So all that means is that you can cheet, but if you get caught nothing happends.

**** Cheating is ****ing cheating, when I raced BMX, if a racer get elbowed or noticed something going on then he would notify the head track judge, and it would be an immediate DQ..... it should be the same here.... ESPECIALLY if he's been caught once already.... the guy was definitely in the wrong and sorry Ray, it should have been dealt with differently.... Yeah Yeah Yeah the guy was from Europe... so what he ****ed up he should deal with the shame of being caught cheating..... and be punished for it.... so what's going to happen next year when people are going to start cheating because all they're gonna get is a slap on the wrist BULL**** MAN BULL****! So now are you going to go over every system now too? No.... this bull**** just opened a whole new realm or troubles.....

Ray, I see your logic in how things were handled, but don't you think you're opening up a huge hole for attempted cheating in the future?

I mean, if you can cheat and get away with it then you win. If you don't get away with it then nothing really happens in the end.

Seems almost like an open invitation to me.

These are a few things to consider

1. Were the devices installed by the manufacturer or by the competitor?
2. To what extent, if any, did the competitor know about the devices?
3. Were the amps the original "installed" amps or were they replacements for "stolen" amps during transit?
4. When should rule violations be enforced? (As soon as the vehicle is in the hall or after the qualifying run takes place?)
5. The judges dictate many installation changes during the "pre-judging" phase of competition. While it is clear that a modification of this nature is clear and deliberate, when should an installation related issue be treated the same way.

these are some thoughts wayne had on the situation.

Ray guys like this only make your job harder. U should only be taking a look at the inside of the vehicle and and doing a look around. NOT having to look thru someone's gear, count the number of wires or caps/batts. Think about it. IF this guy is allowed to keep his title can u imagine next world finals. There will be 10 guys doin this hopping that u will not check their particular vehicle for such violations. Will u want to check every single street and street max car for this?? U guys should make an example out of this guy, set it straight once and for all to prevent anyone else from trying something like this!!
